FRANKLIN COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

On Thursday, Congressman Robert Aderholt announced $5.9-million in federal disaster grants for three cities still recovering from the April 2011 tornadoes.

The money will be split between Phil Campbell, Hackleburg, and Cordova.

All three cities are spending the money on utility upgrades to water, sewer, and gas systems.

Phil Campbell is also going to rebuild an industrial park destroyed in the storms in hopes of luring businesses back to town.
