GADSDEN, AL (WAFF) -
The man who was taken into custody just before the body of his daughter was found at a dumping site has been charged with capital murder.
Stephon Lindsay is being held in the Etowah County Jail without bond.
His daughter, 20-month-old Maliyah Lindsay, was found dead on Plainview Street after Lindsay's arrest.
The toddler's mother had reported Maliyah missing to police after Lindsay said he took the child to his sister's house.
The area where the body was found has
been used as an illegal dumping ground where people have abandoned old
televisions and tires.
