DECATUR, AL (WAFF) -
More labor and delivery
changes are on the way for OB/GYNs at Decatur Morgan Hospital.
Decatur Morgan Hospital recently
moved the parkway campus staff to the Decatur General campus, and now the
hospital will no longer own the women's clinic at either location.
Instead, the obstetricians
will either open their own practice or join an existing one. The man in charge
of both campuses said it was simply a change in ownership.
"We are delivering
babies now. We will continue to deliver babies at Decatur Morgan Hospital and
we anticipate delivering even more babies than we are now," Dean Griffin,
president of Decatur Morgan Hospital, said.
Griffin said the
hospital's human resources department will work toward finding employment for
any staffer who needs help. The changes go into effect June 1.
