A Limestone County judge set a new trial date for a Limestone County doctor facing drug charges.
Kevin Scott Uren is charged with conspiracy to commit a controlled substance crime, distribution of a controlled substance, and obtaining a controlled substance by fraud.
Investigators say Uren write a prescription for Soma, Lortab, or Demerol and give it to a third party who would have the prescription filled and deliver the medication back to Uren.
Court documents state Athens Police put a wire on a witness going to meet with Uren. The report states the doctor wrote two prescriptions and gave the witness the money to make the purchase.
Uren's trial was scheduled for February 25. It is now set for June 10.
