WATERLOO, AL (WAFF) -
A Lauderdale County man is recovering after a truck slammed into his home Monday afternoon.
It happened around 5:30 p.m. on County Road 14 in Waterloo. According to witnesses, a 39 year old man was sitting in a recliner in the house when a UHaul truck barreled through the yard and crashed into a parked truck, sending both vehicles into the man's living room.
The impact reportedly moved the house off its foundation and sent the man in the recliner to the hospital with neck and back injuries. He was released a few hours after the accident.
Alabama State Troopers are investigating the incident. So far, there's no word on any charges.
