ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST PARISH (WAFB) -
A massive
rebuilding project is underway this week in St. John Parish, with more than
2,000 volunteers fanning out to help victims of Hurricane Isaac.
"These
people are still living this way and it breaks my heart that it is this way,
and that's why I'm so thankful that I'm able to give some of my time and my
family is willing to sacrifice me for a few days to come down and help rebuild
their lives a little bit," said volunteer Jeff Osborn.
Eight Days
of Hope organizers said more than 11,000 volunteers have worked to repair close
to 1,200 homes across multiple states since 2005.
