MADISON COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -
Firefighters battled a brush fire in Madison County night.
The fire started around 9:45 p.m., in a wooded area off Slaughter Road.
The Madison city and Huntsville firefighters responded.
The fire burned about an acre.
Huntsville firefighters stayed til about 1:00 Monday morning, to monitor some timber that was still smoldering.
Firefighters say no homes were in danger.
