MORGAN COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -
Morgan County agents arrested two people on drug charges during a traffic stop in the Cotaco area Friday.
Matthew Teague, 29, and James Hurshel Thompson Jr. were charged with second degree unlawful manufacturing of a controlled substance and felony unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
Deputies made a traffic stop on Highway 36 East and Herman Bailey Road in Cotaco.
K-9 units alerted deputies that narcotics were present. Deputies found a box of cold medicine containing pseudoephedrine, liquid drain opener, coffee filters and other components used in making meth.
Teague and Thompson were both arrested and taken to the Morgan County Jail on $8,000 bond.
