LEIGHTON, AL (WAFF) -
A woman was killed and a man airlifted to Huntsville Hospital after being struck by a truck early Saturday morning in Leighton.
Authorities said a Lauderdale County woman and a Colbert County man were struck by a truck 1:40 a.m. Saturday on Jarmon Lane in Leighton.
Stacy Neloms, 32-years-old of Carver Heights, Florence, died at Helen Keller Hospital in Sheffield.
Timothy Smith, 44-years-old of Tuscumbia, was flown from the scene to Huntsville by Air Evac where he was listed in good condition.
State troopers said Neloms and Smith were struck by a 2007 Chevrolet truck driven by Kadejia Cheatom, 18-years-old of Leighton. Troopers said Cheatom was not injured.
