The 52nd session of the Huntsville Police Academy held its graduation ceremony Friday afternoon at Lee High School.
The class includes six new female officers - the largest number in any academy class ever.
"It's something I've always dreamed about. I've always been passionate about the criminal justice system, and today I get to live a dream, achieve a dream," said new Huntsville police officer Rosalind White. "I really appreciated that I was in this class because it had so many females in the class. I think Huntsville is trying to become diverse with their hiring force, and this class represented that."
Huntsville has more than 360 sworn police officers, split up between three precincts.
