FLORENCE, AL (WAFF) -
The Lauderdale County District Attorney filed a motion requesting a DNA sample from a man accused of targeting local college students.
Mitchell Blake Terry faces multiple charges including sexual assault, burglary, theft and fraudulent use of a debit or credit card.
Investigators say Terry broke in to at least two apartments near the University of North Alabama. Police say one of the victims was sexually assaulted.
The motion for a DNA sample states that sample would be compared to evidence at the state forensics lab.
State investigators already notified the District Attorney of a DNA match. When Terry was arrested, his DNA was entered into a database. Scientists said evidence submitted to the state lab matched that DNA.
If the judge grants the request for a DNA sample, prosecutors will have the match confirmed.
