LAUDERDALE COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -
Lauderdale County deputies are looking for an escapee awaiting trial on a rape charge.
Keith Lamar Beckwith escaped from a work detail Friday morning.
Investigators said Beckwith was last seen wearing a blue hoodie, a blue shirt, and jeans.
Investigators said Beckwith is accused of raping a child under the age of 12.
He is scheduled to go to trial on April 15th.
Court documents show a judge revoked his bond last month after he pleaded guilty to assault, but he received work release status this week.
If you have seen Beckwith, contact the Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department.
