HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -
An admitted killer is scheduled to be in court Friday for an arraignment hearing in connection to a Huntsville murder.
Shaffer is already serving multiple life sentences after he admitted to killing five people in Lincoln County, Tennessee in 2009.
Friday he will go before a judge for an arraignment hearing for a sixth murder that police say he committed on the same day in Huntsville in 2009.
Shaffer is serving time for killing his estranged wife, Tracie Shaffer, along with her 16-year-old son, her son's friend, her father and her brother.
Friday's hearing is in connection with the murder of 50-year-old, Sidney Dempsey. Dempsey was found beaten to death inside Hall Marble Company in Huntsville.
Madison County prosecutors have previously said they will seek the death penalty in the Dempsey case.
