RUSSELLVILLE, AL (WAFF) -
Police confirmed that no human remains were found in a search of a home last month.
Crews spent several days searching the property of a home on Wilson Avenue in Russellville.
Initial reports said a baby may have been buried in the yard of the home but Russellville Police Chief Chris Hargett said a forensics lab found no remains.
Chief Hargett said investigators were never able to identify a pregnant woman who lived at the home and that the case will be closed unless they find new evidence.
