FLORENCE, AL (WAFF) -
against a Lauderdale County man charged with murder will go to a grand jury.
Shannon Brewer is accused of stabbing Mark Dishon multiple times before slashing his throat and shooting him in the back of the head in Lauderdale County in November.
He is also accused of assaulting a woman at Dishon's home.
Investigators said Brewer confessed to murdering Mark Dishon.
Prosecutors had several witnesses testify as to what happened the night Dishon was killed.
The case's lead investigator, Richard Richey, spent just over an hour on the stand answering questions from both the prosecution and defense.
Brewer's brother, Jerry, is charged with theft.
The brothers fled to Florida shortly after the murder. US Marshals caught them in Tallahassee and brought them back to Alabama.
The brothers are currently being held in the Lauderdale County Detention Center.
