TUSCALOOSA, AL (WBRC) -
John Mayer has announced he will perform at a concert in Tuscaloosa just before he appears at a jazz festival in New Orleans.
Mayer's concert will be April 25 at 8 p.m. in the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater. St. Paul and the Broken Bones will also perform during the concert. He'll then be heading to Louisiana for the 2013 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, held April 26-May 5, 2013.
"John's appearances in Tuscaloosa and Jazz Fest will be his first full-length concerts in three years and first public performances since his set, on January 16 of this year, at ‘The Livingston Town Proper: A Concert to Benefit the Fighters of the Pine Creek Fire,'" a press release from Columbia Records states.
Mayer took an indefinite hiatus from performing live in March 2012 due to the return of a throat granuloma, according to a release from Columbia Records.
Tickets for the Tuscaloosa show go on sale Friday, March 8 at 10 a.m. and can be purchased online at www.TicketMaster.com, all Ticket Master outlets, the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater or over the phone by calling 800-745-3000.
