ROGERSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Rogersville firefighters responded to a call that left their tanker out of service and injured one of their own Saturday evening.

A truck caught fire injuring a firefighter.

The firefighter was taken to the Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital. He was treated for a dislocated shoulder and released.

"Please keep our department in your prayers as we work through this difficult time. A big thanks to all the phone calls, visits, emails and texts," said Chief Frankie Phillips on the Rogersville Volunteer Department's Facebook page.

The department will respond with an engine and manpower until further notice to all mutual/automatic aid calls.
