BOAZ, AL (WAFF) -
Police arrested a man on child pornography charges in Boaz.
Officers initially arrested Thadeus Michael Porter, 23, on possession of marijuana charges Wednesday.
During the course of their investigation, officers said they discovered Porter had images of child pornography on his cell phone and laptop. The children
that appeared to be between the ages of 9 and 12 years old.
Boaz Police charged Porter with possession of child pornography.
Porter is currently being held in the Boaz City Jail
on the marijuana charges and will be transferred to the Marshall County Jail at
a later date. Other charges may be forthcoming as the investigation
continues. His bond is set at $1 million.
