MADISON COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

Tai Pan Palace in Huntsville scored an 83 with the Madison County Health Department. The inspector reported discovering a pan of raw chicken a few degrees above the maximum temperature required to prevent bacterial growth in cold-holding foods. The inspector also noted that the restaurant needed to add chlorine for the dish washer's final rinse.

The meat department at La Noche Buena in Huntsville remains on the Madison County Health Department's reinspection schedule after failing to score 85 or better. Last time, they scored a 74. This time, the health department handed them a 79. The inspector reported finding employee drinks on a sink drain board where freshly cleaned silverware is placed and next to raw fish. La Noche Buena also lost points because of some glass cleaner sitting next to plastic food bags and lids.

Manna Restaurant in Sheffield scored an 84. Only one critical violation reported was reported by the Colbert County Health Department. The inspector noted they were not sanitizing utensils correctly.

No critical violations were reported at the Quick Mart on 2nd Street in Sheffield, but several smaller infractions added up to an 83.
