HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -
A big engineering company in North Alabama is helping local schools.
Raytheon donated $30,000 to Free 2 Teach. That's a non-profit organization that provides free
school supplies for teachers.
The group's founders say teachers often spend up
to $1,000 on school supplies out of their own pockets, every year.
"Our goal is to make a difference in the education of the students in our
community," said Nancy Jones with Free 2 Teach. "Together, we can help all of them."
Free 2 Teach aims to help up to 3,500
teachers in Madison County.
