Omni Hotel to boast luxury in heart of downtown

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

In just over seven months, visitors to Music City will have a new place to stay when the luxury Omni Hotel opens its doors.

It will be the first Omni in Tennessee, and features include a steakhouse restaurant, a honky tonk with live music, a Bongo Java coffee shop and underground parking for 660 vehicles.

Although the grand opening is still months away, the hotel is already booking conventions into the year 2021.

Located next to the Music City Center, the Omni will have a special tie to the Country Music Hall of Fame.

"We are seamlessly connected. You can literally check into our hotel and walk through our lobby directly into the Country Music Hall of Fame, which is one of the very unique features of this project," said Tod Roadarmel, with Omni Marketing.

Room rates will start at $349 a night, and a presidential suite - at 2,200 square feet - will be available to rent for $2,900 a night.

The 800-room hotel will start taking future reservations May 1.

David: Showers and storms ongoing across the Valley

    Saturday, March 25 2017 5:50 PM EDT2017-03-25 21:50:37 GMT

Showers and storms will be ongoing across the Valley this evening. The most widespread rain will be over northeastern AL, but additional scattered storms will track into the Shoals from the west. That round of stormy weather will head east with time and should be out of the Valley after midnight. The threat for severe storms is low, but a few strong storms are possible.
