HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -
Charges have been upgraded to capital murder against Angel Campos Nava.
Police said the charges were upgraded after they determined the assault started in the car, which merits a capital murder charge.
Investigators said they have surveillance video that shows what happened the night Nava killed 25-year-old Lesley Plott.
Police said Nava attacked Plott along North Jackson Highway early Friday morning.
Nava remains in guarded care at Huntsville Hospital for self inflicted stab wounds.
