ARDMORE, AL (WAFF) -
A threat and a ransom demand shut down a Peoples State Bank in Ardmore Tuesday morning.
Employees arrived at the bank Tuesday morning and found a note and a gel-like substance on the back door.
The note stated the gel was poisonous and to get the antidote, the employees had to deliver a specific amount of money.
Investigators are not saying how much or releasing the proposed terms of delivery.
The Ardmore Police Department, FBI, and Tennessee Bureau of Investigation are working together to solve this case.
