NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -
Two people were hurt Monday evening when a fight at a north Nashville apartment complex turned into a stabbing and shooting as a crowd gathered to watch.
Police said about 20 people were nearby as two women fought about 7:15 p.m. at the Buena Vista Manor Apartments in the 2400 block of Buena Vista Pike.
One of the women involved in the fight was stabbed and was later transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with minor injuries.
Also, a bystander fired gunshots into the crowd, hitting one person in the back and ribcage. The shooting victim was transported to VUMC in serious but stable condition.
Bullets went into an apartment where people were inside, but nobody was hit inside the apartment, police said.
The incident is under investigation, and no suspects have been identified.
