FORT PAYNE, AL (WAFF) -

Several stolen ATVs and motorcycles were recovered Thursday in Fort Payne.

Justin Allen Coffey, of Scottsboro, and Robert Tyler Whiting, of Pisgah, were charged with two counts of receiving stolen property.

A total of six ATVs and three motorcycles were recovered. According to authorities, the property was stolen in Jackson County and Florence in January. The investigation was a joint effort between Scottsboro Police, the Jackson County sheriff's office, Fort Payne Police and DeKalb County sheriff's investigators.

"I really am glad to have these agencies work with us as well as they do. Criminals often work in different jurisdictions to help in getting rid of stolen property as they did in this case. Working together helps us stop these operations just like we did here," said Sheriff Jimmy Harris.

Every vehicle stolen was identified and the owners will be notified.
