BOONEVILLE, MS (AP) -
An Alabama woman has been convicted of murder in the shooting death of her mother.
A Prentiss County jury found Rebecca Lynn Jones guilty Friday in Booneville. She was sentenced to life in prison.
Prosecutors say Jones, of Lexington, Ala., was
arrested in the shooting death of her mother, Jane Jones, 66, at a home
on Mississippi Highway 4 near Booneville in May of 2010.
Jones' attorney say Rebecca Jones never intended to shoot her mother.
