A Hazel Green chiropractor has gone above and beyond to help his patients.
Dr. John Boyle has been a chiropractor in Hazel Green for about 15 years.
In that amount of time, his staff and patients alike said he has gained the reputation of helping those in the community.
"You think, how can I help them? You try to work with your patients as much as possible," Boyle said.
The doctor starts his day at 7 a.m. and sees at least 80 patients per day.
His dedication appears to be working. Some of his patients have been seeing him for nearly a decade.
Ernest Ursery of Hazel Green said he goes to Dr. Boyle to fix his back pain.
"You can never meet anybody that treats his patients and cares about somebody," he said. "He just pretty much helps out the community in any way he possibly can."
Staff members recalled a time when Boyle did not refuse treatment for another patient who could not pay.
Instead, the man did some work around the office in exchange and that was more than okay with Boyle.
"I myself was helped as a teenager. It would have been a tremendous cost disparity to go as often as I did. The team chiropractor took care of our team and kept me going," Boyle said.
His love for sports never diminished. College football memorabilia decorate his office and he often cares for members in youth sports teams in Hazel Green.
"I feel like if we're not helping somebody as fast as I want to, or as I think they should, I lose sleep at night as well," Boyle said.
