LEBANON, TN (WSMV) -
A teenage driver is recovering at Vanderbilt Medical Center after being involved in a serious wreck in Wilson County early Wednesday morning.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol said the teen is expected to survive the crash.
They believe the driver was speeding down Cainsville Road just south of Lebanon around 12:30 a.m. and appeared to be drinking.
The teen drove off the road, down an embankment, crashed into a telephone pole and then rolled multiple times into a field.
He was airlifted to Vanderbilt in critical condition, but officials don't believe those injuries are life-threatening.
The THP hasn't released the victim's name, and there's no word on any charges at this time.
