HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -
Fire damaged a west Huntsville home early Wednesday morning.
Firefighters responded to the fire call on Wilks Place just before 1:30 a.m.
According to firefighters, flames were shooting out of the home when they arrived. Firefighters put the fire out within minutes.
Firefighters said the kitchen suffered heavy damage. Investigators are looking for the cause.
No one was hurt. Firefighters said a smoke detector alerted the two adults who were at home when the fire started.
