MORGAN COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -
State Troopers are investigating a crash that killed a Decatur man.
One man died in a crash on Highway 36 in Morgan County late Tuesday night. Troopers said the victim is 41-year-old Jerry Boles of Decatur.
Deputies said Boles crashed his black Chevy Cavalier just west of Curry Chapel Road between Lacey's Spring and Somerville.
He knocked down two power poles and rammed into a truck in a driveway before rolling and landing on the hood.
Troopers, Morgan County Sheriff and Volunteer Firefighters responded to the scene. Joe Wheeler EMC also responded to assess the damage.
Utility crews blocked Highway 36 for several hours while they worked to repair the power poles. Crews said they will replace the two power poles Wednesday.
