MADISON COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -
The Madison County Sheriff's Department closed Bob Wade Lane from Mt. Lebanon to Derwent Lane early Tuesday morning, because of power lines that were down across the road.
We're told a tree knocked down about a mile of wires. Huntsville Utilities says this was the cause of a power outage Monday night in the Liberty Hill area.
According to Huntsville Utilities, power at the Liberty Hill substation was interrupted around 9:50 p.m. Monday, when high winds blew a large tree into power line salong Bob Wade Lane, bringing them down into the roadway.
The utility says the substation was back online around 10:35 pm, restoring power to the outage area, with the exception of approximately 4 customers.
Crews continued working through the night and completed repairs around 4:00 a.m. All power has been restored.
