Ladder in road causes I-40W crash in Wilson Co.

MOUNT JULIET, TN (WSMV) -

Interstate 40 westbound in Wilson County was closed for a few hours Monday morning after a crash involving multiple vehicles.

The wreck, involving a tractor-trailer and two other vehicles, occurred just past exit 226, South Mt. Juliet Road, at 8:20 a.m.

Police said the crash happened when a driver struck a ladder that was in the middle of the road. One person suffered a minor injury.

All lanes were open by 10 a.m.
