HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -
A regional bank is giving back for a good cause.
BancorpSouth has announced the recipient for cash of their Pink Card Master Card program. The Liz Hurley Breast Cancer Fund will receive one cent of every swipe made with the card.
The program is designed to support breast cancer awareness.
The company's market president said a reason they chose the fund was to support the community.
"Well, I think the Liz Hurley Foundation has just grown and grown and grown on itself. I mean, she took a bad situation for her personally and just has done an incredible job of taking that out into the community to promote mammograms and promote healthcare for breast cancer for women in our community," said Penny Billings, Market President of BancorpSouth.
BancorpSouth will donate up to $10,000 each quarter.
