The former director of the Cullman County Commission on Aging,
Randall Shedd, and former Cullman County school board member Danny
Alldredge will meet in a runoff March 26 for the Republican nomination
for Alabama House District 11.
Unofficial results released by the state Republican
Party show that Shedd received 47% of the vote and Alldredge nearly 28%
in a four-candidate primary Tuesday. The winner of the runoff will meet
Democrat Kelly Evans in the general election May 7.
District 11 includes Cullman, Blount and Morgan counties.
Gov. Robert Bentley scheduled the special election
to fill a vacancy created when he appointed the incumbent, Republican
Jeremy Oden, to the state Public Service Commission.
