KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Moving up for the third consecutive week, the University of Alabama in Huntsville men's basketball team moved to the No. 7 position in this week's installment of the NABC/Division II Coaches Poll.
The top four remain the same in this week's poll with Metro State and Western Washington holding down the first two spots. In third is West Liberty, Cal Poly Pomona is fourth, and Seattle Pacific moved into the top-five at No. 5.
Florida Southern begins the next five as the Mocs are in sixth one place ahead of the Chargers. Falling to No. 8 is Minnesota State, while East Stroudsburg and Saint Anselm round out the top 10 in ninth and tenth, respectively.
Saint Leo soared back into the rankings after 13 of last week's top 25 lost games, jumping all the way to No. 16, while North Alabama remained at No. 24 despite its lopsided loss to Christian Brothers.
Fellow NCAA South Region schools Morehouse, Benedict and Rollins are all receiving votes.
The Chargers will hit the hardwood with the new ranking on Thursday as they take on Christian Brothers in Memphis.
