Shoals man indicted on burglary, sexual assault and theft charges

FLORENCE, AL (WAFF) -

A Lauderdale County grand jury returned at 10 count indictment against a man accused of breaking into homes and sexually assaulting at least one woman.

Mitchell Blake Terry is charged with sexual assault, burglary, theft, and fraudulent use of a debit or credit card.

Terry is accused of breaking into an apartment at Summit Ridge near the University of North Alabama in September 2011. Court documents state he sexually assaulted a woman and stole debit and credit cards from the home.

Court documents also state he broke into an apartment on Heathrow Drive, stealing property from the home.

The indictment states he stole property and bank cards from a third victim.

It is unclear if he is connected to the other attacks that happened earlier in 2011 within a five mile radius of each other.

Terry's priors include burglary in 2009 and 2010, theft in 2007, resisting arrest and reckless endangerment in 2006, breaking and entering a vehicle in 2005.

Terry will be arraigned February 28.
