BERKELEY COUNTY, SC (WCSC) -

The Moncks Corner Police Department has charged a 13-year-old boy accused of stabbing his older brother in the face and neck during an argument over a Playstation.

Investigators charged the juvenile with assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature.

On Saturday night, officers responded to a home on Birchwood Drive in the Shannonwood subdivision of Moncks Corner for a reported stabbing.

When one of the officers arrived, he said he saw a 13-year-old boy outside of the mobile home holding a large kitchen knife. The officer said the boy then threw the knife on the ground along with a cordless telephone.

The boy told the officer that he was going to kill his 14-year-old brother for bullying him. The officer then placed the boy in the back of his patrol car.

An incident report states that the boy told the officer that he had stabbed his older brother several times during a confrontation over a Playstation. The officer reports that the boy made several spontaneous admissions that he stabbed his brother several times in the face and the neck area.

The suspect said his mother took his brother to the hospital and said he did not care if his brother was dead or not. Police say the suspect also said his brother needed to learn a lesson about bullying.

A police report states that the suspect said,"Don't know who he's messing with I will kill a (expletive)."

Police say when they went into the home they found two teenaged girls standing in the kitchen. The youngest girl told officers that the suspect said,"I'm gonna kill you" as he stabbed the victim.

Officers reported seeing blood on the walls near the bathroom and blood all over the kitchen floor with a trail going from the kitchen to the bathroom.

Investigators then met the victim and the mother at Roper Berkeley Hospital. The mother told investigators that her sons got into an altercation over a Playstation and that her youngest son stabbed the victim.

According to the victim, it all started when he was cleaning his room and did not want the Playstation in his room. The victim said the suspect brought the Playstation in, shoved the victim, pulled a knife out and started swinging it, cutting the victim in three places.

Authorities say blood was found on the porch, laundry room area, a sitting room, kitchen, dining room, a hallway and in one of the back bedrooms.

Investigators say they determined the assault happened in the sitting room area and the butcher knife the suspect had was not the weapon used on the victim. A police report states the suspect used a pocket knife.

The mother told officers that she had the knife and would find it and notify investigators.

A police report states that the victim was released with minor injuries to his head, face and neck. The 13-year-old boy was transported to the Moncks Corner Police Department.
