ATHENS, AL (WAFF) -
A judge will consider bond for a Limestone County capital murder suspect.
Joel Moyers is accused of shooting and killing Brandon Hydrick in Tanner in September 2012.
An attorney for Moyers filed a motion for bond. Moyers is currently in the Limestone County Jail without bond. His bond was revoked after a grand jury returned a capital murder indictment.
In the bond motion Moyer's attorney states his client should be allowed bond since the Limestone County District Attorney will not seek the death penalty.
The motion requests bond be set at $260,000. That is the bond amount Moyers was given before the grand jury indictment.
Moyers spent several days in the hospital before returning to jail without bond. He overdosed after learning of the capital murder indictment.
