HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Several people put their dance moves to the test in efforts to sweat it out all for a good cause.

The North Alabama Phi Mu Alumni Chapter teamed up with the Southeast YMCA on Weatherly Rd. and held a Zumba-thon Saturday afternoon.

The event raised money for the Liz Hurley Breast Cancer Research Fund and Huntsville Hospital. The event cost was $10 per person.

The event raised more than $800 to benefit breast cancer research.

Huntsville Hospital Foundation group held their 2nd annual Medi Gras Bash Saturday night.

The New Orleans-themed event featured live music, wonderful cuisine and a silent auction.

The event was held at The Jackson Center at HudsonAlpha.

All the proceeds collected from the party benefited the new Madison Hospital Breast Center.
