VAN ZANDT COUNTY, TX (KLTV) -
The Van Zandt County Sheriff's Office confirmed today they have arrested three adults for injury to a three-week-old child causing serious bodily injury.
Kayla Fountain, 19, Sean Alsip, 21, and LeJuana Alsip, 40, all of Emory, were each arrested and charged, and bond for each is set at $500,000 bond.
The charges stem from a January 31 EMS call in Grand Saline. A child was treated on the scene for injuries and was flown to Dallas. Child Protective Services confirmed the child suffered 23 fractures to his ribcage, three bilateral skull fractures and the child's arms and femur were fractured.
The child was released to Child Protective Services on February 3 and placed in foster care.
All three suspects are awaiting arraignment by a Van Zandt County judge.
