HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -
The suspect in three arsons has been arrested.
One day after the fires, Craig Emerson, was charged with three counts of arson.
Police responded to a home on Hilltop Terrace on Thursday where a lit gas can was thrown at the window of the home.
Officials said the offender also threw a bottle at a home on Knollwood Drive. The bottle broke a window pane but did not catch fire.
Neither home sustained any structural damage.
Both victims reported seeing the offender run back into his truck and drive away.
Huntsville Police and Huntsville Fire Department helped to track down Emerson in Decatur, then U.S. Marshals were contacted and they made the arrest.
