DEKALB COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -
Two people are in jail on drug charges after a routine stop
turned into a pursuit.
A DeKalb County deputy said he attempted to stop a
suspicious vehicle in Ider. The driver led the deputy on a pursuit.
The vehicle left the roadway on County Road 802 and wrecked.
The driver fled, but the deputy apprehended the passenger, Daniel Anderson Jr.
The deputy reported finding a meth lab in the car and drug
paraphernalia.
Anderson was arrested and charged with manufacture of a
controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The driver was identified as Dustin Roberts of Higdon. He
was located at a residence on County Road 155 and arrested. Roberts was charged
with manufacture of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia,
reckless endangerment, eluding police and various traffic offenses.
