FLORENCE, AL (WAFF) -
A construction worker was injured following a fall on the UNA campus Friday morning.
School officials said 43 year old Stan Baker of Ocoee, Florida slipped and fell about 10 feet off of a structure.
His safety harness caught him, but snapped, and he fell another 16 feet, hitting his head on a beam on the way down.
He was taken to Eliza Coffee Medical Center, where he was stabilized.
He reportedly didn't suffer any broken bones or major injuries. He was flown to Vanderbilt University Hospital for further evaluation to make sure he had no spinal or internal injuries.
