BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -
Fire crews
are trying to find out what caused a fire that destroyed a home Friday morning.
A house
fire sparked on Jefferson Avenue near North 32nd Street in Baton Rouge around 6
a.m.
The Baton
Rouge Fire Department said it appears as though the fire started near an attic
fan. Investigators said by the time the people inside noticed it the flames had
already spread to other parts of the house.
All 10
people in the home made it out safely. The house was a total loss.
Firefighters
said by the time they arrived on the scene about 70 percent of the home was on
fire.
Red Cross
responded to help the family.
The cause
of the fire remains under investigation.
