KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The University of Alabama in Huntsville men's basketball team moved back into the top 10 in the latest NABC/Division II Coaches Poll as the Chargers are ranked No. 9 in this week's release of the rankings.
UAH received some Gulf South Conference company in the latest poll as rival North Alabama made its way into the field at No. 22. The only other representative from the NCAA South Region is Florida Southern who is a spot ahead of the Chargers at No. 8.
Rollins and Saint Leo are both receiving votes.
Metro State and Western Washington – the lone undefeated teams left in Division II – continue to hold down the first and second positions, while West Liberty is No. 3. Cal Poly Pomona and Minnesota State round out the top five.
Seattle Pacific begins the next five at No. 6, and Indiana (Pa.) follows at No. 7. After the Mocs and UAH is Southern Indiana at No. 10.
The team will return to action on Thursday when the Chargers host Valdosta State at 7:30 p.m. All fans are encouraged to wear blue to the game, and special True Blue UAH Basketball t-shirts are available at Off Campus Bookstore for just $10.
