Former Cowboys defensive coordinator Rob Ryan is a strong candidate for the New Orleans Saints defensive coordinator according to a report by ESPN.
Sources told the Times-Picayune that both Ryan and Georgia defensive coordinator Todd Grantham have interviews with the team. Grantham will be in New Orleans Thursday while Ryan will interview on Friday.
Both candidates have a background in the 3-4 defense, which the Saints will be switching to during the offseason.
There is no word yet as to whether or not the Saints have other candidates in mind for the job. Former Browns and Chiefs Coach Romeo Crennel is a possible candidate, as the Saints contacted him soon after Steve Spagnuolo was fired.
