Winter weather causing icing on roadways

MADISON COUNTY, AL (WAFF) - Law enforcement is urging extreme caution on roadways due to icing.

Overpasses and bridges on Memorial Parkway as well as overpasses and elevated portions of I565 are icing. Police have also reported slick spots on Wall Triana.

ALDOT is working to make bridges in the Shoals safe for drivers including on Patton Island Bridge, Oneal Bridge, Rivermont Bridge and S Hatch bridge.

All of North Alabama is under a winter advisory until 2 p.m.

Drivers and motorists are urged to use extreme caution when driving.
