Big rig spills fuel on road in Jackson Co.

PAINT ROCK, AL (WAFF) -

Emergency crews responded to a big rig wreck on U.S. 72 just east of Paint Rock.

Chief Deputy Rocky Harnen said the truck turned over, spilling fuel all over the roadway. The driver had to be cut out of the vehicle.

The Alabama Department of Environmental Management, ADEM, was called to the scene due to the spilled gasoline.

Westbound lanes of traffic were closed. Eastbound lanes were split.

It is unclear if the driver was injured.

    Three adult males and one juvenile were arrested in Limestone County on Thursday after a four-hour manhunt and charged with multiple counts stemming from a string of vehicle thefts.Three adult males and one juvenile were arrested in Limestone County on Thursday after a four-hour manhunt and charged with multiple counts stemming from a string of vehicle thefts.

    A ground search ensued that lasted about four hours and covered approximately six miles, ending a few hundred yards east of Hays Mill Road where the suspects were caught in a hunting stand/shoot house.
