Documents filed in Morgan County District Court state a murder suspect kicked an 8-month old baby off a bed and into a nightstand.
Orlandos Zeonette Deloney is charged with the capital murder of Kobe K. Coffee.
Morgan County Central Dispatch got a call about an unconscious baby at a home on Gordon Parkway just before 4:00 a.m. Tuesday.
Paramedics rushed the baby to the hospital where he died.
Investigators say Deloney initially said he woke up to find Kobe rolled off the bed. Investigators go on to say he woke up the child's uncle who began CPR.
Court documents state the child died from "non-accidental blunt force trauma".
Investigators arrested Deloney once the autopsy was complete.
According to the court documents Deloney admitted to smoking marijuana, drinking beer and taking a Tramadol pill while taking care of the child. The document goes on to say Deloney got frustrated when the baby would not stop crying so he kicked the child off the bed and into a nightstand.
Kobe's mother was at the hospital with another child when this happened.
