HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -
Police are investigating a deadly accident involving a pedestrian.
Huntsville Police said 53-year-old Russell Fowler was crossing Meridian Street when he was hit by a vehicle.
Police said the Fowler did not use the cross walk and was wearing dark clothing.
He died at the scene.
Fowler was a former HEMSI employee and former director of the DeKalb County ambulance service. He was the dispatcher for the Madison County Volunteer Fire Department.
